Welcome to Our Parish Website

God loves us and that is the message that our Midcoast faith community wants to share with others through our sacred liturgies, the sacraments, and the amazing outreach work we do at all of our churches. Come join us if you visit our beautiful region. Or, if you move here, make one of our churches your new spiritual home. Be a part of the action---bringing God's love to the world.  May God bless and keep you!

Message From the Buisness Office

Hello Parishioners!

Last year Fr. Murphy noted that we would no longer be taking up second collections, and by that he meant specifically our second collection for Fuel and Maintenance, in order to give our donors a break from having two collections every week. We will still be following the Diocese second collections as scheduled by the Bishop's office. The only time the parish will do a second collection will be for the cemetery collection in May and buildings repair fund in October.

By canceling the fuel and maintenance second collection, the finance team felt that this would allow our donors to focus more on the offertory, helping to increase this critical source of revenue for the parish.  In theory our offertory should be able to support the fuel and maintenance needs of all locations.  We know that many of you like to give your donation to specific needs of the parish, therefore we have added two undated F&M and two undated Founded on Faith, Building the future envelope to each offertory mailing that can be sent in any time during the month at your leisure.  We will also have an option on Weshare to donate to this fund as well.  We will continue to track those dollars and they will be used to help support these costs where the offertory falls short.  Again, the hope was to lessen the burden of our donors every week and to allow you to donate when it best works for your budget. In addition to this change, we will continue to provide two undated St. John’s Catholic school envelope, which has been a blessing to the school since we started to provide those.  If you have any questions or concerns about your giving envelopes, or would like to learn more about electronic giving, please call the parish office at 725-2624.  We would be glad to help you!  We thank you for your continued generosity and please know that every dollar is a true blessing!

Respectfully yours,
