"There are different gifts but the same Spirit; there are different ministries but the same Lord; there different ministries but the same Lord; there are different works but the same God who accomplishes all of them in everyone. To each person the manifestation of thee spirit is given for the common good." (Corinthians 12: 4-7)
The Pastoral Council is charged with guiding the work of the parish in accordance with the Parish Mission Statement. Members serve two year terms and are limited to two consecutive terms. The Council is made up of one representative from each commission plus several at-large members. Parishioners who are 18 or over may volunteer to serve on the Council. This is a two year commitment, 2 hours per month.
The Pastoral Council serves as an advisory body to the Pastor, and assists the Pastor in the overall care and ministry of the Parish and the enhancement of its mission. The pastoral council works with the pastor to discern God's will, to develop a vision for and to clarify the mission of the cluster. The council engages in pastoral planning by developing goals through dialogue with the various ministries and the cluster/parish at large. The mission of our Council is to help the Parish focus on evangelization, stewardship, discipleship and to evaluate our mission effectiveness.
We are currently focusing on building local leadership groups whose members will be connected with the All Saints Parish pastoral council.
